The Biggest Story

Errol’s mom told wonderful stories. One day when he had nothing to do, he asked Mom for a story, but she was busy fixing a plumbing mess. She suggested that he think one up by himself. Errol argued that he had never done that before, but Mom countered with, “Why not give it a try?”

Out in the yard, Errol wandered around with his magnifying glass and discovered some friendly ants. They wanted to be in his story. Next, some cats showed up on the fence, asking if they could be in his story, too. Paragliding sheep arrived next and before he knew it, Errol had the makings of not only of a story, but of the biggest story of all.

Coyle’s text builds a simple story into a highly imaginative one that will delight young readers.

Taylor’s lively illustrations and bold use of color pair well with the text.

Highly recommended for inclusion in any home, preschool, kindergarten or first grade libraries.
